| השיעור יעסוק בתרבות הניאוליתית והכלקוליתית של אנטוליה, צפון מסופוטמיה וסוריה בין השנים 5000-8000 לפנה"ס ויכלול את הנושאים הבאים:
מבוא גיאוגרפי ותולדות המחקר. המעבר מהתקופה האפיפליאוליתית לתקופה הניאוליתית הקדם-קרמית. התקופה הניאוליתית הקדם -קרמית במרכז ובדרום מזרח אנטוליה. התקופה הניאוליתית הקדם - קרמית בצפון מסופוטמיה וסוריה. התקופה הניאוליתית במרכז אנטוליה. התקופה הניאוליתית במסופוטמיה ובצפון בסוריה. התקופה הכלכוליתית הקדומה במרכז אנטוליה. התקופה הכלכוליתית הקדומה בצפון מסופוטמיה ובצפון סוריה. מודלים של מבנה חברתי בתקופה הניאוליתית והכלכוליתית במזרח הקדום. במהלך הקורס יופנו התלמידים לקריאה בפרקים נבחרים מהרשימה הביבליוגרפית הבאה: Akkermans, P.M.M.G.1993 Villages in the Steppe.
