No, I really don't spend all my time reading old boidem columns. It's not that I have better things to do, but I definitely do have more pressing tasks to attend to. I'm not really sure what caused me to get to this particular (old) Boidem column, but when I did I couldn't help realizing that there was a substantial amount of linkrot on the page that linked to Phil Och's "Outside of a Small Circle of Friends". Linkrot, of course, is a force of nature, and I'm certainly not going to try to fight it everywhere it raises its threatening head. But Phil Ochs deserves to be remembered, so fixing those links was at the least a nice gesture.
