It seems to me that this is a good example of the inability of graphics, or at least inappropriately placed graphics, to convey anything. The web invites us to make our comparison not only in our heads, but visually as well. Yet if we accept the invitation, we lose the real meaning of the metaphor. This is a thumbnail of the painting.
