Forgotten, though not necessarily lost.

Forgetting is easy - all we have to do is not remember. Certainly there are exceptions - experiences that we'd like, and even try, to forget, but can't. But on the whole, in order to forget we don't have to exert much effort. Faces, dates, events, and web sites, tend to fade away. But the wonders of search technologies make it difficult to really lose something. Even if all we have is a slight recollection, and the desire to find something again, chances are good that we'll be able to do so. Basically, all we have to do is remember a few words that we think should be on a particular page, and then take a deep breath and muster the patience to wade through the results of our search, and chances are good that we'll find what we want.
