Perhaps punctuated equilibrium?
Maybe the changes that we make in our operating systems, and the changes that
these force upon our use of various programs, are the spurts of change that biological
scientists identify as the catalysts of evolution. In other words, all was perhaps

the unfit could no longer survive, and this in turn initiated an entire reorganization
of our resources.
