Who wouldn't check under the hood?
Today it's very easy to check how fast a car was travelling when an accident occurs.
Should we reject such a technology because it might incriminate us? In the case
of an accident, few people would make that claim - we'd want to know what caused
the accident, and the insurance company would like to know who was to blame. But
when that same technology can tell us whether our teenage son returned the car
at 12:30 as he claims, or at 03:30, which we suspect, would we still want to make
use of it? Can we keep ourselves from doing so? I tend to doubt that we can.
