Brin wrote his book long ago, so I'm certainly not in competition with him for who got there first. Still, I was there, almost six years ago. I didn't have a link to KinderCam back then. All I had was an article clipped from a newspaper which I was able to find twice on the web. Neither of those are accessible today. As to my take on this possibility of viewing my kids throughout their day, I've remained as critical of it today as I was then. Frankly, until I clicked over to KinderCam when preparing this column, I'd wishfully assumed that projects of this sort had disappeared along with the articles that referred to them.
