Not so bad, in context.

There is a lot of strange stuff out there on the web. Sometimes it's even fun wasting a bit of time getting acquainted with it. Still, I wasn't quite prepared for a page that told me about the Vegans:
Tuhuir are not hereditary; when a Vegan nears sexual maturity, he or she enters a period of search, which may last for many years. Eventually, the individual chooses a tuhuir; once made, the choice is for life. In practice, about 50 percent of all Vegans enter the tuhuir of their parents (the exact percentage varies with each tuhuir); about 0.5 percent find that they enjoy the search as a way of life and never join a tuhuir.
What were these people talking about? I was convinced that I'd hit upon a cult that dealt with communicating with extra-terrestrials, or something similar, except that the site on which I found this quote seemed too plain. It didn't seem to proselytize as I'd expect on the site of a cult. It took a bit of burrowing into other pages on the site in order to discover that I'd hit upon some background information pages of a science fiction simulation game. Within that context, it sort of made sense.

Go to: How shall we put it?, or
Go to: The internet saved my life, or
Go to: I search, therefore I am?
