Spreading the expected word.

The forum was a logical place to report on Avraham's funeral, and within a few hours after it ended a rather extensive report had been posted. It included a few digital photographs of the funeral, and a report on the eulogy by the forum spokesperson. To my mind one of the most interesting aspects of this report was the fact that it continued to relate to Avraham in the idealized manner the forum had established for itself. Even though the evidence of the funeral itself supported a more well-rounded perspective - a view that saw Avraham as a many-sided person who among other things also took an active role in an online forum, rather than as someone for whom the forum was the central channel through which he found expression - the posting to the forum failed to stress this. It hardly reported it at all.
