It's no joke, but still not the greatest problem.

In the column I wrote about our previous North American vacation I posted a cartoon that, as I noted then, wasn't really an accurate description of how preoccupied we were with the technologies that seem to threaten the peace and quiet of our vacations. Along with that cartoon, however, I also commented that although it didn't reflect that particular vacation, it might reflect the next.

Did it? Not really. True, this time not only I wanted to check my mail, but Eitan wanted to check his as well (primarily to find out whether our dog was being well cared for). As things turned out, we seemed to access our mail even less than expected - and turned out to be in need of it when it was least available, rather than having it on tap constantly.
