Catchy be thy name.
It turns out that the person who has identified, or at least named, Pre
and Post Mail Tension also does research into names. From an
article on the pitfalls of naming children we read:
"Naming does matter," says Helen Petrie, a professor at the City University of
London and a researcher into the psychology of naming. "We have stereotypes of
what sort of people are behind certain names. There are studies of teachers in
primary schools in the US that show they rate children with certain names as less
able.
And some names are probably more likely to make headlines
than others.
