In cases such as this, it's basically a truism that a message that makes the rounds once is going to continue to make them again and again. One of these, that I received as a Forward, as a Forward of a Forward, and yet again as a Forward of a Forward of a Forward carried a totally believable report on the threat of anti-semitism at Harvard. One of the forwardees (perhaps the original) has a full professorship at an Israeli university. But that only makes me feel all the more uncomfortable when the message I receive tells me about anti-semitism at "Harward". Yes, it's only an innocuous spelling error, but issues of this sort are too important to have their credibility tainted, even in such a simple manner.
