One small photograph for history.

Neil Armstrong's first small step on the moon was apparently filmed by a television camera set up on the lunar module. Armstrong pulled a ring that activated the camera before taking the step.

A more popular photograph is actually of Buzz Aldrin taking his first step on the moon. This photograph was taken from the surface of the moon - apparently with a camera held by Armstrong. Even an authoritative web site like NasaKids gets this one wrong, telling us that it's actually a photograph of Armstrong.
