My guess is that in Israel being connected is the rule, and not finding a connection the exception. Only rarely do we meet someone who didn't go to school with the brother of the best friend of the uncle of whoever seems to be making headlines at the moment. In comparison to Israeli inter-connectedness, six clicks seems like an eternity.
