Home pages and the Boidem.

It's not only that home pages are among the most common topics that anyone who examines the internet refers to. I personally have a distinct interest in them. Boidems 4, 15 and 44 dealt primarily with home pages, or with personal web sites, but the subject shows up rather consistently throughout these columns. The presentation of self in different media is of particular interest to me, and often, when I think that there's nothing new to write on the subject, a new perspective somehow presents itself. This time, however, there really isn't anything new to report. Instead, the incongruence of the topics of these columns with the issues that involve us outside of them called for, perhaps even demanded, a closer examination of what we do and don't report on our personal sites.
