Well, almost a new crop.

To hear him tell it, I should have been flattered, though quite frankly, my first reaction was one of incompetence. As the members of a new class just recently begun started filing into the computer lab I was surprised to discover one of members of a previous class that I taught taking a seat.

"But you've already studies this material" I argued. "Yes", he replied, "but I haven't really used it, and I really enjoyed the class last year." And in the long run, who am I to say that repeating the class isn't a legitimate way to spend the late afternoon and early evening. After all, it beats watching television. On the other hand, I try not to define the internet as a spectator sport, and I'd prefer that my students actually try and use the skills they're supposed to be acquiring in class. My jokes are often quite funny, but only the first time around.
