Form follows function?
Simply because I'm writing notes when the time and the circumstances permit, this column takes on a form in which the main column becomes the skeleton of the component parts, with that skeleton taking shape after the parts are in place. Perhaps it should even be called backward writing in which only after I piece all the pieces together do I discover what it was that I wanted to write. It may also be that because the topic of this particular column is its very existence, the logical content of the column is a discussion of how it took shape. Normally I create links while writing that I fill out later. In this particular case each of the parts starts to take shape on its own and then seeks a link, perhaps even demands one, to which it can become attached.
