It can't be that difficult.
A thesis presented to Tel Aviv University is expected to follow certain stylistic guidelines. The title page, for instance, is supposed to conform to a specific lay-out, not to mention the content, which is supposed to be divided into clear and distinct sections. But even an element as simple as a table of contents just doesn't belong in the hypertextual document that I envisioned, and ultimately created. Throughout the process of preparing my thesis I continually found myself wondering whether I was going too far, whether their was enough congruence between my conception of what I wanted to present and what the university would view as fitting and suitable. Frankly, even after presenting it I still find myself waiting for the phone to ring, and when I lift the receiver I'll hear a voice telling me that it was an enjoyable read, thank you, but it wasn't a thesis. Am I the only person who can't seem to toe the line, or who has nightmares of not being able to fit square holes into round pegs?(?!?!?!?)
