On maintaining a page
What can I say. It's been a year and a half, and only
now I've gotten around to writing that promised column (more or less, since
it's obviously different now than how I envisaged it back then). But if
I now link that (probably forgoten) link to the new column, what happens
to that old link that (I admit it) I liked so much?
True, it seems that nobody noticed that it wasn't a real "File Not Found"
page, but instead a sort of inconspicious take off on a page of that sort.
Sometimes the joke is so inconspicious that nobody notices that it's there,
and perhaps that's a sign that I might better simply remove it. But once
again, hey!, I liked that link.
