Look who's complaining!

Over twenty years ago, considerably before Flickr appeared on the web, I posted photos of my sons on one of the web sites I worked on during my studies. Almost immediately after Hila was born I posted a photograph of her at a few minutes old to one of those sites. I don't recall if I already had a digital camera. I probably didn't, though I have no recollection of that photo ever being "developed", and I wouldn't have been able to post it very quickly had I had to finish a roll of film before having it developed so that I could then scan and post it. I'd earlier posted a scan of one of her ultrasounds, but I had it as a print-out which was easily scanned. I well recall that back then people scratched their heads and asked why someone would want do to such a thing. Clearly, it was still a bit out of the ordinary.

I report this history only in order to show that I'm probably one of the people guilty for what's become an epidemic. If I'm complaining now, I should at least acknowledge my role in the crime.
