Back in 1955 Frank Sinatra sang the Sammy Cahn song Love and Marriage, that tried to convince us that the two were inseparable. The song was incredibly popular in its day, which I suppose says something about that era. But contrary to the lyrics of the song, even sixty years ago when it was written that inseparability was an illusion.
