The ability of one click to lead to another, and in that way to snowball into ever widening circles of meaning (not to mention to continue to mix metaphors until it's hard to remember what any of them really refer to) is without a doubt one of the central ongoing themes of the Boidem as a whole, and of this column in particular. That being the case, this column's continual, and what might even appear to be random, branching out into a myriad of topics is not only called for, but is hopefully also an example of how this takes place. Except, of course, that "meaning" is highly subjective, so that my own branching, significant as it may be to me, doesn't necessary ring the same way for a reader. Which I guess goes to show us that clicking really shouldn't be a spectator sport.
