Doing it the old way.

Somewhat to my surprise, though the Train Authority app is pretty much never far from reach I seem to use it only when I need immediate information, whereas when I simply want to check when might be the best time to meet a train, or whether its preferable to ride the train rather than drive, I prefer to sit in from of my desktop and click into the corresponding web site. It's as though I understand that the app is designed for when I'm outside and on-the-go, for when I need a quick fix of information, while the web site gives me a fuller picture. However, though I may "understand" that, it's not really the case. I get the same information from both sources, and even from home it can be easier to simply tap into the app. The difference is more that of an ingrained perception than of a real difference.
