It is to someone.

I admit that at this point in this particular column things are becoming a bit tedious. If some people choose to bestow fame, or at the very least recognition, to someone, then for whatever the reason, it's merited. I've been claiming that today there are hardly any significant differences between our online and our "real" lives, but this "no significant difference" theme can be found in other aspects of this column, and in numerous not-mentioned aspects, as well. Even if someone is only famous for being famous, by that admittedly dubious measure that fame is still merited. Ultimately this suggests that if we're dealing with broad enough generalizations, just about anything is similar to anything else.
