In Boidem columns links on text like "five years ago" ordinarily link to a page in an earlier column. After all, who knows, maybe someone browsing this particular column will suddenly feel an urge to read an earlier one and ... click! ... there they are. This page, however, is an intermediary. Sure, I'd love to have someone read, or reread, that twelve year old column, but as I was in the process of creating that link I reread it myself and ... I liked it. And I thought that I might acknowledge that.
