Not in order to find something new.

We live in a very dynamic world. Things are changing all the time. That being the case, there's quite a bit of logic in returning to Google every other week in order to try and find information that we hoped we'd find when we first ran a search - and didn't get what we'd wanted or expected. Web savvy people, however, know that simply returning to Google in order to conduct the same search once again is unnecessary. That's what services like Google Alerts and RSS readers are for. We don't have to remind ourselves to check whether new material on a particular subject is now available, and can instead simply get on with our lives and have that new information (if it's out there) delivered to us when it materializes. The people toward whom Google is directing their new service aren't those who want to learn something new, but instead those who want to get to the same site over and over again, and haven't even internalized that they can bookmark it in order to make getting to it easier.
