Whether it's accurate or not, one of the stereotypes associated with doctors is
that they spend their leisure time (and not only their leisure time) on the golf
course. But these virtual-world simulations might offer a breakthrough in how
that leisure time gets spent. It's not hard to picture a group of doctors arranging
to get together in second life for a run-through of a disaster scenario - "that
earthquake was fun! let's do a nuclear attack next time!" - and having such
a good time that they'll forget about golf altogether.
