I still don't know.
Almost three years ago I noted that for many years I've
"known" that President Lyndon Johnson, upon being presented with the
Warren Commission Report on the assassination of President Kennedy, uttered the
wonderfully mundane words, seemingly bereft of any real commitment,
"It's, uh, very heavy".
Sadly, over the years the closest I've come to confirming this immortal phrase
is one web reference, and it, not from the most reliable of sources. I'd still
like to know whether he said it or not, though I suppose that even if it turns
out that he didn't, I'll continue to quote him.
