Write it again, Sam.

Perhaps because "what I ate for breakfast" blogs are too easy to make fun of, even traditional media have learned to seek out more interesting examples of digital excess. And whether Bell's project is a valuable one or not (and frankly, I'm convinced it is), the example of a legitimate and respected scientist going to the extremes that Bell seems to be exploring definitely generates interest. A list of articles devoted to the MyLifeBits project shows up on the site's main page. There we learn that since 2002 interest has been rather consistent, if not overly enthusiastic:
2002 - 10 articles
2003 - 9 articles
2004 - 7 articles
2005 - 8 articles
2006 - 8 articles
2007 - 9 articles
Though each reporter tries to get an individual take on the story, I haven't found much difference between what was written six years ago and what was published only very recently. The story seems primarily to be relegated to being quirky filler.
