I'm well aware of the iconic stature that Simon and Garfunkel hold in the eyes of my generation. I wouldn't be surprised if the ritual of lighting matches (is it candles?) at concerts and holding them aloft started with Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and that's certainly something that would establish them as icons. But frankly (and perhaps I should have hidden this page farther down on the link chain) I can't say that I'm that much of a fan. While many of my friends were finding Simon and Garfunkel songs to be identity defining road marks in their lives, I was busy listening to other music which I found much more engaging. I apologize.
