Take, for example, the Boidem.
Though I've always been hesitant to try, I have no doubt that were I to conduct
general web searches on the basic topics that Boidem columns deal with, I would discover
that many others have committed to bits quite similar thoughts - many of them
considerably more eloquently than I have. But in the same way that our minds are
only one tenth experiencing and nine tenths remembering (and I've got a hunch
that I'm being heavily over generous to "experiencing") a Boidem column
is often only one tenth an "objective" examination of a topic in such
a way that anyone else might have written it, and nine tenths a "personalization"
of that topic through the filters of my web of associations.
