Who are these people?
I find myself wondering whether the videos on sites such as YouPorn are primarily home movies posted by people who simply want to put their own porn online, or whether instead they're videos made by sexploitation companies, and then pirated by individuals who post them so that others can have free access, or even attempts by those companies to use "free" as a lure for getting more paying customers. I don't know whether or not "free" is a factor (yes, YouPorn has advertisements, though these seem rather minimal) but I get the impression that the percentage of people filming themselves and their wives and girlfriends and posting these online simply because they think it's a nice thing to do is rather large.
Why do people do this? I'm afraid that's an entirely different question, and
one I'm not really in a position to answer. It's a good guess that the vast
majority of the people posting this material are men, just as the vast majority
of the videos (or so it seems) are of women. Many of the titles, however, are
along the lines of "me and my wife" which, though I may be wrong,
doesn't seem to be the way that sexploitation sites would title their videos.
As interesting as this issue may be, however, someone else will have to be the
person to examine it in greater depth. I'm already well outside my own turf.
