This time, not the proverbial eight.

In most Boidem columns, any reference to my readers normally has the number eight associated with it. That's because I'm usually referring to the readers of these columns - readers who have undergone numerous changes over the years but have, at least in my own perception of them, remained at a constant number - a number low enough for me to feel as though I know precisely toward whom I write.

This time, however, readers refers to those people I've been writing about who want to know who I am. Do these students who find my articles actually read them? Not necessarily, and quite possibly not at all.
