RSS to the rescue.

Ordinarily we look upon RSS feeds as a method via which we, the readers, can keep abreast of what's being written in the areas that interest us without having to click over to hundreds of sites and blogs. But if we, the writers, can succeed in getting ourselves onto the feedreaders of our readers, they can be even more valuable for us. We may have to devote a lot of effort in order to convince readers that being on their lists is worth their while, but once we're there, we can relax with at least a bit of confidence - even if we miss a few days of posting, our readers probably won't abandon us.
