Truly a part of me.
Interestingly, when I think about my extra-livelihoodial writing, I sometimes
forget the Boidem and think only of my other projects. This is as true for me
today as it was more than five years ago when
I first noted this. Many years ago I had the good fortune to actually make something
like a living via a web project. At
that time, my "only" free-time project was the Boidem. Though for quite a while
I felt only a lukewarm attraction toward blogging, the idea of writing a Hebrew
blog devoted to the internet in the learning process was, at the same time, gestating
somewhere in the back of my mind. The actual writing took a long time to take
off, however, not only because of my resistance, or ambivalence toward blogging.
The main reason for the delay (if that's what is was) was that an additional extra-livelihoodial
project was also up and running, and it was clear that there was no way that I'd
be able to manage yet a third. It was only after a full three years of this
other project, when I decided that it had run its course, that I felt that
I had the time, and the stamina, to try my hand at blogging.
