It's been a long time.
Over the last couple of years Arts and Letters Daily
has been, as it's name suggests, among my daily stops (or, more accurately, my
daily transfer stations). A page such as this invites someone with a wide range
of interests like me, to find items worth at least a few moments of reading pleasure.
There's always something waiting for me there that I ordinarily wouldn't find.
But of late my link to ALDaily has been in almost total disuse. This is probably
because I'm all too well aware that one click becomes, incredibly easily, a half
hour or even an hour of reading. If I have tasks that I really want to attend
to, rather than find an excuse for procrastinating, I've got to be careful where
I click.
