As long as you spell my book title right?
Personally, it really doesn't bother me if an idea that (at least to my mind)
I've have a hand in expressing ultimately reaches the public without my particular
wording, or perhaps gets quoted without a reference to me. I'm quite sure that
others have thought the same ideas as I have, and that at least a few of those
others have also expressed those ideas in words better than I can.
In Jewish tradition, authors have been known not by their names, but by
the names of their most famous books - a means of emphasizing the importance
of the idea over the person who gave it expression. That being the case, it's not
the anonymity of having my writing appear within the pages of an encyclopedia
that bothers me, but instead that I don't know the interesting and exciting things
about all those other people who've offered me information in this manner.
