There used to be a page here. Not this one, but another one, the date link to this Boidem column. It's not here anymore. It was the first, and to the best of my knowledge, only example in the Boidem of a page being replaced by a new page that bore the same file name. As the Boidem grew and expanded I realized that this might well be a problem, and I devised a number of systems for giving each page not only a descriptive name but also a singular one. But, as I discovered a bit too late, I didn't do this early enough, and the page that used to be here disappeared.

At first I thought that I'd be able to find a copy. I keep numerous copies of the Boidem on my hard disks, and this particular page was written on an old computer that, I figured, might still have the earlier version saved on it. Ah, but when it rains it poured, and sure enough, though an earlier version was saved, it too was a copy of a different page. All my attempts to get back to the original, and perhap figure out what it was that I wanted to say on this particular date, came to naught.
