Perhaps that should be "anti-manifestoes".
Cory Doctorow, in his online
review of Smart Mobs tells us:
Smart Mobs are the Slashdot effect applied to the meatspace zeitgeist.
A squillion like-minded souls who don't know each other and will never meet
pop out of the transmetropolitan brickface and break the white-noise balance
of atomic viewpoints to speak with one voice, roaring a righteous YES or an
adamant NO without organizers, without leaders, without manifestoes or forethought.
It's hard to argue with that ... if you can understand it. It's the sort of declaration
that makes you want to person the barricades, to join the struggle, to sign up.
Then again if there are no organizers, it's going to be hard to figure where to
do the signing.
