Making do.

At first I was greatly disappointed when I discovered that the Furl toolbar wasn't compatible with Firefox 1.5. I'd grown quite attached to that toolbar in Explorer and didn't know how I'd get by without it in Firefox. The answer, however, was rather simple. Even though for about a month now there is a version of the Furl toolbar for Firefox 1.5, I no longer have any need for it. This isn't because I no longer send pages to my Furl account - I do so all the time - but because I have two very simple buttons on my Bookmarks bar, both inside a simple folder marked Furl. With these two buttons I can easily do either of the two actions that I need - send a page to Furl, or search my Furl archive. All the other functions that the Furl toolbar offered are available from the Search bar which is already a part of Firefox. And if I can save space by using a small link on the Bookmarks bar instead of downloading and installing an entire toolbar, who am I to complain?
