Just copy the code, idiot.

Actually, one of the (almost) easier aspects of HTML is the fact that a page we like can quite readily be used as a template for a new one. Or at least this used to be an easy aspect. New and improved systems of web design and made things difficult on the home-publisher who simply wants to stake out a presence in cyberspace. Though minimalist may still be popular in web design, that minimalism isn't exactly simple, but today demands a good deal of know-how to achieve. The end result is that a simple page looks ... well ... simple, but not necessarily by choice. Today, professionals design sites, and they know how to design so that the desired simplicity looks well planned. Today, the clear line and open feel of a well designed site is the end-product of numerous specialized aspects of coding which isn't quite as simple to copy and paste (and get it right) as it once was.

I can still delve into the code of a page I like and get some idea of how it's done. But using that copied code in order to achieve the same thing on my own pages is no longer as easy as it looks.
