The premiere technology of our time.
My main interest in these columns is the internet, and its various applications
- email, the web, and much more - in our lives. I've been able to keep these columns
going for as long as I have because the internet's influence in our lives has
been enormous, and its numerous ramifications merit examination. But were I called
upon to choose the technological innovation with the greatest influence on our
lives, I'd probably go with the cellphone rather than with the internet.
I've been toying with the internet for over ten years, yet I've had a cellphone
for only about four and a half, actually using
it for about four. Even with my own bias, I can well understand why [murmur] relies
more on the cellular than it does on a computer. In this particular case, it seems
to be a logical decision.
