Over four years ago in these pages I offered to make a 100MB Zip-disk available to anyone who might want to research the development of an online discussion list. I wasn't surprised that nobody took me up on that offer back then, and I don't expect that anyone will now, but just for the record, the disk is still available, waiting for someone to plunge into the shouting match of what was intended as a forum for paving the road to peace. It makes for fascinating reading, and since it tends to repeat itself, a reader can jump in pretty much anywhere and get a feel for what's happening.
