I suppose that any writing assumes, or at least hopes for, a readership. It would be specious (or at the very least misleading) to say that I don't care whether or not anyone reads these pages. That said, a monthly column has become, over the years, almost a part of my family, and I find that I need this writing to organize my thoughts and even to organize myself. Still, this is an opportunity to thank any readers who've click as far as this page. For me it's good to know that you're around.
