Evening! I am Fred Anderson, a user at Knowino, as well as Illogicopedia, RationalWiki, and A Storehouse of Knowledge. I am rather knowledgeable in history (particularly United States history), politics and government, economics, theology, classic literature, and culture in general (although admittedly having no formal education in any subject, thus disqualifying any "editor" status or whatnot; just an author). I found this site at RW and like the idea it is implementing. I have full faith that this project will become the get-go source of information beating Wikipedia, Citizendium, Conservapedia, or any other wiki encyclopedia. I realize this is a lofty goal considering the site has only a few hundred articles as of far, but it definitely has potential.

What I like personally about Knowino (please realize this is all my personal opinion and belongs not to the administration or anyone else at the site) is its implementation of the best of Wikipedia and Citizendium and combining them while leaving out the worse policies. For example, allowing Wikipedia's self-registration model, instead of having to go through a long process at CZ. However, real names are encouraged and I believe required for admins (please correct me if I'm wrong) which is a benefit and prevents against the numerous anti-intellectual pseudonyms found at WP. Now, IP editing as it is currently allowed, is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, anonymous authors have historically made excellent contributions to WP. On the other hand, it opens the door further to vandalism (Knowino got its first bout of IP vandalism; strangely it was just a blanking of the Wikipedia entry) and that has been a huge setback at WP and has given it a bad name at many schools and colleges for inaccuracies. Now, the site does have a special place for experts like CZ which is an excellent thing. The founders of this site definitely are math and science experts. WP has long neglected experts; a 10 year old could possibly have more influence than a professor on a subject at WP.

I definitely am a fan of the site and will contribute with all my ability, possibly abandoning (or at least visiting far less often) the other sites I have been on to do so. I hope to become a major contributor to this fantastic project. And I am probably the first or at least one of the first Americans to join, but that's a bit irrelevant.

Thank you for reading my little spiel and have an excellent day!
