Biography


1985-1988 B.Sc. with distinction in Biology and Psychology. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
1989-1990 M.Sc (Summa Cum Laude) in Genetics, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
1991-1996 Ph.D. at the laboratory of Prof. Yosef Gruenbaum the Department of Genetics, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Ph.D. thesis title: “Characterization of Otefin, an inner nuclear envelope protein from Drosophila melanogaster.
1996-2001 Postdoctoral work at the laboratory of Prof. Peter Gruss Department of Molecular Cell Biology, Max-Planck-Institute of Biophysical Chemistry, Goettingen, Germany.
2001 Joined as stuff member (lecturer) the Department of Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University, Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel.
 
Fellowships, Awards and Grants
1996 -1998 Rewarded the EMBO long-term fellowship.
1999 Honored a prize, by the British Genetical Society, for the best presentation in the mammalian genetics and development workshop that took place in the institute of Child Health, London.
2002 Rewarded the "Dan David" prize for young investigators in life sciences.
2003-2005 Rewarded the "Alon" scholarship for young investigators in life sciences.
2003-2007 The Research in the laboratory is funded by the Israel Science Foundation
