Ne'eman Memorial Lecture
"Pure and Applied Science"

Prof. Yisrael Aumann
The Center for the Study of Rationality, The Hebrew University
Recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Economics

There is no difference between pure science and applied science. It is one body of thought and work. Applications feed theory and theory feeds applications; neither is possible without the other. This principle, which may be considered the leitmotif of Professor Ne'eman's work, will be illustrated by examples from the speaker's personal experience.

Host: Prof. Yaron Oz, x8636
