System And Method For Analyzing Exploratory Behavior

Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for analyzing a subject's exploratory behavior. The system of the invention includes a tracking device configured to track motion of the subject and to generate a signal indicative of the subject's motion. A CPU analyzes the signal and identifies in the signal sequences of repeated motions, or sequences of sequences of repeated motion, for sequence of repeated motion, the CPU determines for each occurrence of the repeated motion a time at which the occurrence occurred or a time interval during which the occurrence occurred. The CPU then calculates for each occurrence of the repeated motion a value of one or more predetermined parameters of the occurrence of the motion and then calculates a time dependence of the one or more predetermined parameters during the sequence of repeated motion or the sequence of sequences of repeated motion.
