A Problem with Radiation Fields in Electrodynamics

This page discusses the problem of Lorentz transformation of radiation fields. The following citation from a well known textbook indicates that there is indeed a genuine problem with this matter: "The fact that A0 vanishes in all Lorentz frames shows vividly that Aμ cannot be a four vector." (see [1], p. 251). It turns out that this fact is very far from being well known. As a matter of fact, many textbooks implicitly regard this 4-potential as a genuine 4-vector. Therefore, this issue deserves a detailed discussion.
