Introduction

 

Le but de cette bibliographie est de présenter un panorama aussi large que possible d’articles et d’ouvrages consacrés à l’argument ad hominem tel qu’il a été étudié dans les théories de l’argumentation et les études rhétoriques. Elle présente des recherches de type historique qui s’interrogent sur les racines et l’évolution de la notion ; des analyses théoriques et méthodologiques qui se penchent sur ses définitions, sa valeur et ses emplois ; et des études de cas. L’argument ad hominem est examiné aussi bien dans que le cadre des paralogismes qu’explore la logique informelle, que du discours polémique sur lequel se penchent les sciences du langage et de la communication.

Cette bibliographie comporte le plus souvent possible des renvois à des résumés en ligne sur ce site, ou sur d’autres sites Internet, ainsi que d’éventuels comptes rendus en ligne. Elle met aussi à la disposition des lecteurs quelques textes difficilement accessibles aujourd’hui. Nous invitons nos lecteurs à participer à ce travail en nous transmettant des références supplémentaires correspondant aux objectifs précisés ci-dessus. Pour tout résumé publié dans ce site, le nom de l’auteur sera mentionné.

Cette bibliographie peut être complétée par celles qui portent sur le discours polémique et la violence verbale.
